When I accept a mandate, I aim to achieve the best. I am convinced that successful work on a mandate depends on listening carefully to the client and understanding the mandate as a joint project with the client.

I was born in Wimbledon (England) in 1969 and grew up in Brussels (Belgium). I studied in Germany, France and England. This is one of the reasons why I am a convinced European. I have a German and British passport.

I am a Rechtsanwalt (lawyer) in Hamburg and an Avocat à la Cour (lawyer) in Paris. I am also a publicly appointed and sworn translator for the French language. I have been freelance translator for the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJUE). Since 2006 I have been the lawyer of confidence of the French Consulate General in Hamburg (Avocat-conseil auprès du consulat général de France à Hambourg).

I have studied law at the universities of Hamburg, Aix-en-Provence, Paris and London. I have obtained a Maîtrise en droit (Maître en droit) at the University of Aix-Marseille III and a Diplôme d’études approfondies (D.E.A) en droit international privé et droit du commerce international (International Private and Commercial Law) at the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1). At the University of London (University College London and Queen Mary), I have obtained a Master of Laws in International Intellectual Property Law.

I have been a research assistant at the Institute of Comparative Law at Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2) and I have obtained a Ph.D. on the international sale of goods at the University of Hamburg under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Magnus.

Before founding my own law firm in 2005, I worked for a medium-sized law firm in Paris.
